Lakeland Family Photographer – Family session

I love this family.  I love their hearts, their love for one another, and their new mission.  This started out as a mommy/daughter session, because as you can see after 3 handsome boys, a sweet little girl came along to add some giggles and ruffles, but then we decided it’d be a good time to have everyone in some pictures, because how often does that happen?  In our house, almost never.

Their new mission is called Free Ride 836 and their goal is to raise $50,ooo to build an orphanage in Tanzania, Africa by kite boarding 5o miles.  From their website, “The funds will build the first home of a self -sustaining orphanage whose vision is to care for parentless, homeless children in a family style atmosphere.  We will literally put a roof over these children’s heads.”  Please go visit their website and see what they’re doing and if you feel moved to give you can do so here.  Just $15 will pay for 1 square foot that will serve 12 children and provide them with hope and a future.

After mom saw these pictures, she called and said, “I see these pictures and my heart feels so happy to have these kids to love and hold, but it breaks my heart that so many kids will never get that.”  This is exactly why I love these people so much.

They’re such an inspiration to me and because of them, I’ve decided to hold some mini-sessions to help them reach their goal of building a future for homeless children in Africa.  More info will come with dates!

I love what Mark said about the mission, “I was always able to ride to Live, but now I was being called to ride to Give.”

Keeping you and your team in my prayers!

Gretchen
